Service Description
Learn how to create your own custom hoodie from scratch in this hands-on workshop. Perfect for students looking to expand their garment construction skills, you'll learn how to read patterns, properly cut fabric, and assemble a professional-quality hoodie from start to finish. Throughout the class, we'll guide you through essential hoodie construction techniques while helping you build confidence working with knit fabrics and garment patterns. By the end of the workshop, you'll walk away with a custom hoodie and the foundational skills needed to continue creating your own garments. You'll learn how to: • Read and understand sewing patterns • Take accurate measurements and select the correct size • Layout and cut fabric efficiently • Work with French terry and knit fabrics • Construct and assemble a hoodie • Create and install a kangaroo pocket • Create clean, professional finishes ⚡ Basic sewing machine knowledge required ⚡ Intro to Home Sewing Machine or Beginner Bootcamp recommended ⚡ Bring at least 3 yards of French terry fabric ⚡ Recommended fabric source: Journal Fabric, Michael Levine, DTLA Fashion District ⚡ All other tools and notions provided in class 📆: October 3rd (SAT) 11-4PM Leave with a completed hoodie, new garment-making skills, and the confidence to tackle future sewing projects.

Cancellation Policy
THE WAN Sewing Studios – Class Policies Please read carefully before booking. By enrolling in any class, workshop, bootcamp, private lesson, or special event with THE WAN Sewing Studios, you agree to the following policies: BOOKING & PAYMENT • Full payment is required to reserve your spot. • Due to limited class sizes, all bookings are final. • Your reservation secures one of a limited number of seats and prevents that spot from being offered to another student. REFUND POLICY • All classes, workshops, bootcamps, private lessons, events, and certificate programs are non-refundable. • Refunds will not be issued for missed classes, scheduling conflicts, travel plans, illness, work obligations, late arrivals, or no-shows. TRANSFER & RESCHEDULING POLICY • All bookings are non-transferable. • Bookings may not be transferred to another date, class, service, or person unless approved in writing by THE WAN Sewing Studios. • Missed classes do not qualify for makeup sessions, credits, or future class transfers. ATTENDANCE & LATE ARRIVAL POLICY • Students are encouraged to arrive 5–10 minutes early. • A 10-minute grace period is provided for late arrivals. • Students arriving more than 15 minutes after the scheduled start time may not be permitted to join the class. • Late arrivals beyond 15 minutes may result in forfeiture of the session without refund, credit, transfer, or makeup class. NO-SHOW POLICY • Students who fail to attend a scheduled class without prior communication will be considered a no-show. • No-shows automatically forfeit their reservation and are not eligible for refunds, credits, transfers, or makeup sessions. CLASS CANCELLATION BY THE WAN SEWING STUDIOS • In the rare event that THE WAN Sewing Studios must cancel a class due to instructor illness, emergency, low enrollment, or circumstances beyond our control, students will be offered a makeup session, studio credit, or alternative solution at our discretion. STUDIO RESPECT & COMMUNITY • We are committed to maintaining a positive, respectful, and creative learning environment for all students. • Disruptive, disrespectful, unsafe, or inappropriate behavior may result in removal from class without refund. By completing your booking, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to all policies listed above.
